Los Cristianos Overview - Tenerife

Los Cristianos is located 15km west of Tenerife’s southern airport, Reina Sofía. Los Cristianos is one of the most popular areas in the Canary Islands. Los Cristianos has a beautiful scenic harbor that offers exploratory trips, big game fishing, pleasure trips, glass bottom boats, scuba diving boats and even a ferry to the picturesque island of la Gomera.

Los Cristianos seems to attract a slightly more mature tourist than the vibrant and extravagant resort of playa de las Americas. Unlike Playa de las Americas, los Cristianos has Canarian architecture and is home of much of Tenerife’s culture and scenery. While los Cristianos may be a sleepy little resort there are still plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants available. No matter what you are looking for, a quiet relaxing holiday or a loud and late holiday Los Cristianos has it all. If you fancy playing in the water you can visit the local water park, Octopus. If you have a family it is well worth a visit, as the kids will love it. If perhaps the water park is a little too much like hard work you can visit the Tenerife zoo or eagle park.
