One of the areas most appealing features is the 45 miles of spectacular beaches and the region is otherwise termed as the "Gold Coast" due to the fine golden sand. Due to the gentle angle of descent of the sand on this Costa's beaches it makes a prime location for elderly visitors and families. The second largest industry is agriculture and the land between the sea and mountains reflect this with orchards, fields and vineyards in abundance.

The climate on the Costa Dorada is very temperate, with warm sunny summers and chilly winters.
The most important and known city in this region is Tarragona, also one of the most important cities of the roman empire. Tarragona invites you to explorer the ancient defense walls, the amphitheatre or explore underneathe the Roman Circus.
