Referred to as "the city of white and Gorgonian churches" by Gerardo Diego, it is sheltered alongside the famous mountain range "the Torcal of Antequera". With its houses overlooking the wide green sea of the Vega, Antequera is a city of anciant history and home to monuments built over the course of many centuries.
