Inland Costa del Sol Overview
Alhaurín el Grande and the surrounding villages are typically Andalucían and the historical influence imparted by the Romans and later the Moors is evident throughout the region. Becoming increasingly popular amongst foreign residents, the area is a peaceful alternative to the busy coastal areas.
Situated in the heart of some of the most beautiful scenery Andalucía has to offer, Alora is one of many traditional white villages in the area. Close to the stunning El Chorro gorge and ancient spa town of Carratraca, Alora is a perfect base for exploring the area and discovering for yourself why so many people are opting to make it their home.
The ancient town of Ronda is one of the most spectacular towns in all of Andalucia. The town is split in two by the gaping gorge, 'El Tajo', where the Guadalévin River slices through the rock. More impressive still is the eighteenth-century bridge, which spans the gorge's dizzying 130-meter height. Whitewashed houses cling precariously to its side and the worn itself is of equal interest. The oldest bullring in Spain is in Ronda and alongside it and interesting museum pays homage to this traditional, if controversial, sport. Surrounding the town, the Sierranía de Ronda mountains are home to many traditional white villages as well as the beautiful Grazalema National Park.
Coín is the regional capital of the Guadalhorse Valley, which comprises 12 townships. It enjoys a privileged situation, between the Mediterranean Sea and the inner part of Andalucía. Very near Coin, is the natural park of "Sierra de las Nieves", the largest and most important in Málaga province. The daily improvement of the infractrures not only makes the communication between the main facilities shorter in time (Marbella will soon be only 15 minutes from Coín), but also an ideal place for investment.
